Wabi Stoneware Crater Plate

Some of nature's most striking landscapes are shaped by fire and time. The Wabi Stoneware Crater Plate draws on that raw, elemental beauty, combining a dramatic form with a richly textured glaze.

The plate's wide, gently sloping rim is its signature. It's finished in a frothy, crackled glaze of cream, oatmeal and soft grey, with a surface that recalls volcanic rock, sea foam or weathered stone. At the centre, the plate dips into a small, deep well, glazed in glossy, dimpled tones of dark umber and earth brown, creating a dramatic contrast that draws the eye inward. A warm, darker edge traces the outer rim, completing the piece with quiet definition. As the glaze flows and settles uniquely in the kiln, every plate carries its own unique texture.

This fine-dining-inspired form uses the wide rim as a frame, making it perfect for plated pasta, risotto, soups, stews, curries and signature dishes. It's equally striking for desserts such as panna cotta, mousse or gelato, or as a decorative centrepiece for candles, fruit or dried botanicals. Made from durable stoneware, it's as practical as it is beautiful. Pair it with the Wabi Stoneware Ring Plate, Ridge Bowl and Bloom Bowl for a fully coordinated table.

Its sculptural, organic look suits Japandi, wabi-sabi, modern luxury, rustic modern and contemporary interiors, and it looks especially beautiful alongside warm wood, linen, stone and handmade ceramics.
