Tide Pool Ceramic Shallow Bowl

When the tide pulls back, it reveals hidden worlds in the rock pools along the shore: textured stone, coral and clear water shimmering in every shade of green. The Tide Pool Ceramic Shallow Bowl captures that moment of discovery, bringing the beauty of the shoreline to your table.

The bowl is gently oval, with a softly undulating, organic rim that gives it a natural, hand-shaped character. At its centre, a sculpted relief rises in coral-like ridges and hollows, like reef or weathered rock beneath the water. A glossy, reactive-style sea-green glaze pools over this texture, settling deeper in the hollows and glowing lighter on the raised forms, so the relief seems to shimmer beneath the surface. Toward the edges, the glaze shifts into a frosted, speckled band of seafoam, grey and silver, and a warm, earthy line traces the rim to frame the whole piece. Because the glaze flows and transforms uniquely in the kiln, no two bowls are ever exactly alike.

Its shallow, open form is ideal for presenting food beautifully. The smaller size is perfect for appetisers, dumplings, sushi, side dishes, salads and desserts, while the larger size suits mains and sharing dishes such as noodles, pasta, curries, stir-fries, grilled fish and roasted vegetables. Both sizes also work as elegant serving dishes for fruit, nuts and festive sweets, or as decorative trays on a console or coffee table. Used together, they make a beautifully coordinated set, and pair naturally with the Jade Lagoon plates, Ocean Pebble Platter, Midnight Lagoon Bowl and Lotus Leaf Plates.

Its calm, coastal look suits Japandi, wabi-sabi, modern organic, coastal, Asian-inspired and contemporary dining spaces, and it looks especially beautiful alongside natural wood, slate, linen, wooden chopsticks and stoneware. It also makes a thoughtful gift for food lovers, home cooks and hosts, perfect for housewarmings, weddings and festive celebrations.
