Tidal Drift Ceramic Oval Platter

Out on the open water, small boats drift gently with the tide, their graceful forms tracing long, unhurried curves across the surface. The Tidal Drift Ceramic Oval Platter captures that sense of calm movement, bringing a sculptural, coastal elegance to your table.

Its silhouette is its signature. Rather than a symmetrical oval, the platter flows from a broad, rounded end into a softly tapered point, like the hull of a boat, a leaf or a smooth piece of sea glass. Gently curved walls rise from a wide, flat base, framing the food beautifully and keeping sauces and dressings neatly contained.

The glaze adds depth and atmosphere. A rich base of deep teal and slate blue is flecked with fine speckles that shimmer like light on dark water. Along the curved walls, the glaze thins into lighter, glossy highlights, accentuating the platter's flowing shape, while a warm, earthy line traces the rim for a refined, artisanal finish. Because the glaze flows and settles uniquely during firing, every platter carries its own subtle variations in tone and texture.

The smaller size is perfect for appetisers, salads, side dishes, sushi, dumplings, fruit and desserts. The larger size makes a striking serving platter for whole grilled fish, kebabs, cutlets, roasted vegetables, pasta and sharing mains, and a beautiful board for cheese, charcuterie and festive sweets. Used together, they create a layered, restaurant-style presentation, and pair naturally with the Ocean Pebble Platter, Riverbed Platters, Tide Pool Bowls and Midnight Lagoon Bowl for a fully coordinated, coastal-inspired table.

Its moody, coastal look suits Japandi, modern organic, coastal, Mediterranean, industrial and contemporary dining spaces, and it looks especially striking alongside dark wood, slate, rattan, linen and coloured or brushed metal cutlery. It also makes a thoughtful gift for food lovers, home cooks and hosts, perfect for housewarmings, weddings and festive celebrations.
