Penchant Wine Glass (Set of 2)

In French, pencher means to lean, and in English a penchant is a strong liking for something. This glass embodies both: a leaning, angled rim and a design created for people with a genuine love of wine.

The bowl is wide and generous, with a broad, almost flat base that sweeps outward before tapering toward the opening. This shape gives full-bodied red wines a large surface area to meet the air, helping them open up, soften and release their aromas. As you swirl, the wine moves freely across the wide base, and the inward taper gathers its bouquet toward the rim.

The rim is cut on a striking slant, giving the glass its distinctive, modern profile. The raised side creates space for the nose, so you can take in the wine's aromas as you sip, while the lower side lets the wine reach your palate with a gentler tilt. It's a thoughtful design detail that makes each sip feel more natural and immersive.

Penchant is ideal for bold, structured red wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux, Shiraz, Malbec, Merlot and Nebbiolo, as well as aromatic reds like Pinot Noir and Burgundy. Pair a set with a crystal decanter for dinner parties, tastings and special bottles, or keep a pair on hand for quiet evenings.

Its sculptural, contemporary design suits modern luxury, Scandinavian, Japandi, minimalist, industrial and transitional interiors, and it looks especially striking alongside marble, dark woods, linen and candlelight. It also makes an exceptional gift for wine lovers, collectors, couples and hosts, perfect for weddings, anniversaries, housewarmings, birthdays, retirements, corporate occasions and festive celebrations.
