Onyx Ibex Figurine

The ibex is revered as a symbol of strength, resilience and the ability to rise above any terrain. Its majestic curved horns appear on Persian bronzes, Mesopotamian pottery and early Mediterranean artefacts, often stylised into graceful loops that celebrated both the animal and the sacred cycles of nature. The Onyx Ibex draws directly on that heritage, reinterpreted as a striking contemporary sculpture.

The defining feature is the horn. Rising from the crown of the head, it sweeps up and back in one continuous, dramatic arc that curves all the way down to meet the body, forming an open loop of remarkable presence. Its surface is carved with deep, rhythmic ridges, each one shaped by hand, so the horn reads like a sculpted spiral of light and shadow. Through the open circle, the space beyond becomes part of the composition, framing the wall, a mirror or a vase behind it in a way that feels intentional and artful.

Its dramatic silhouette and dark, earthy palette make the Onyx Ibex a natural fit for modern classic, Mediterranean, wabi-sabi, Japandi, industrial, mid-century and eclectic interiors. It looks especially striking on a travertine or marble console, a walnut sideboard, a styled bookshelf or a study desk, paired with antique books, brass mirrors, dark ceramics, natural stone and dried botanicals. It also makes a meaningful and memorable gift for collectors, design lovers, new homes and new ventures, carrying the ibex's timeless associations with strength, determination and ascent.

This is not a mass-produced ornament. Each Onyx Ibex is sculpted, carved, textured and glazed entirely by hand. Because every ridge of the horn and every mark on the body is shaped individually, and because each glaze responds uniquely in the kiln, no two figurines are ever exactly alike. The subtle variations in form, texture and finish are the signature of true craftsmanship, and they make your Onyx Ibex a collected object that is entirely your own.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. As each piece is handmade, slight variations in shape, glaze and texture are natural.
