Acrobat & Equilibrium Ring Sculpture

Life is a constant act of balance: between effort and rest, strength and surrender, the self and the world around us. The Acrobat & Equilibrium Ring sculptures capture that idea in a single, powerful image, the human figure held in poised tension within a circle.

Each sculpture begins with an organic ring, shaped by hand into a softly irregular, double-walled form. The frames are worked into a rich, hammered texture of ridges and hollows, glazed in deep onyx and charcoal so they resemble hand-forged iron or ancient cast metal. Their imperfect outlines feel natural and alive, more like river stones or eroded rock than perfect geometric circles.

Within each ring, an elongated figure is suspended in motion. In the taller sculpture, the figure crouches and reaches, limbs extended outward to touch the edges of the frame, as if pushing against its boundaries or holding the circle in place. In the lower sculpture, the figure stretches in a long, horizontal line, arms and legs bracing from one side of the ring to the other in a moment of perfect suspension. The forms are simplified and expressive rather than literal, with lean, flowing limbs that speak of strength, discipline and grace. Finished in a warm bronze and antique brass tone, the figures glow softly against the dark frames, drawing the eye inward.

These are not mass-produced ornaments. Each Equilibrium Ring sculpture is shaped, textured, detailed and glazed entirely by hand. Because every ring, limb and surface is formed individually, and because each glaze responds uniquely in the kiln, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. The subtle variations in form, texture and finish are the signature of true craftsmanship, and they make your Equilibrium Ring sculptures collected objects that are entirely your own.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. As each piece is handmade, slight variations in shape, glaze and texture are natural."
