Umbra Bloom Decor Bowl

Nature rarely works in straight lines. Petals fold over one another as they open, oyster shells grow in layered ruffles, and stone is carved by water into soft, undulating forms. The Umbra Bloom captures that organic beauty in a single sculptural vessel, where the hand of the maker and the rhythms of nature meet.

The bowl's walls are pinched, pressed and folded by hand into a series of deep, flowing pleats that rise and fall around its circumference. Some edges curl outward like petals in bloom, others fold inward like the lip of a shell, and the rim rises in soft peaks that give the piece a dynamic, ever-changing silhouette. Viewed from any angle, it reveals a new contour, a new shadow, a new shape, which makes it feel less like a bowl and more like a living sculpture.

The finish heightens the drama. The exterior is glazed in deep bronze, chocolate and umber tones with a subtle metallic sheen, mottled and pooled like molten metal cooling into form. Light catches the raised folds and slips into the hollows, so the surface glows warmly on its peaks and deepens into rich shadow in its recesses. Inside, the bowl opens into a soft, pale ivory and stone-grey glaze with a gentle speckle, a luminous counterpoint that seems to hold light within the vessel. This contrast between dark exterior and pale interior, between shadow and glow, is what gives the piece its name and its quiet power.

The Umbra Bloom is equally at home as pure sculpture or as a functional vessel. Display it as a centrepiece on a dining table, console, coffee table or plinth, or let it anchor a styled shelf. Fill it with natural stones, seasonal fruit, dried botanicals or candles, or use it as an elegant catch-all in an entryway. Left empty, it holds its space with confidence as a work of art in its own right.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. As each piece is handmade, slight variations in shape, glaze and texture are natural.
